I got this in an email from Randy Singer (The MacAttorney). Looks like a
very inquisitive fawn and the horses don't seem to mind at all.
You
almost misst the fawn, as it looks so small compared to the horses
around her. I don't think people know how gentle horses reall are. I
had the privilidge of photographing a few horse shows where the riders
were quite young. All were under 16 or 17 years old, most were actually
around 8 or 9.
In one instance the girl riding was quite small, maybe 7 or 8. She also was laking some development skills. yet this enormous horse (she had the biggest horse of all) knew this rider was someone to take care off. An amazing site to watch. So this little fawn could not of found a better set of animals to befriend.
Enjoy the photos. (Wish they were mine.)
GOD'S BEAUTY!!!
I got these from my friend Randy Singer. He does a humor list and occasionally sends out some more serious stuff. While these photos are rather humorous just shows that the animals that we share the planet with know who to trust and who to look out for. Amazing photos and some rather funny. enjoy.
Form htp:///www.newseum.com a cross section of the headlines/front pages form around the country. I am considering doing states, although that would take 50 days.. maaybe fun and interesting. We'll see..
Today is the last day The Rocky Mountain News will be printed. You may say, "so what, there are other places to get the news", but the fact is that this medium is disappearing. And it is disappearing fast. We already see things in the Print News that we thought we would never see. Advertisement on the from page of the Wall Street Journal, Ads above the "fold". And home deliveries of the paper only certain days of the week. This latest phenomenon can be contributed to many things, the latest is the economy. See it costs money to print the paper, and pay all those folks who write the stories, take the pretty photos, set the type (ok so they layout the pages), the computers that run the software, the folks that decide what story gets the front page, what story gets the back page, the supplies, the coffee, the electricity... well you get the picture.
Today's Front Pages are newspaper from Colorado. You can see that The Rocky Mountain New is on every front page. For as much as we usually are not bothered by a competitor leaving. Hey they have to get their "stuff" somewhere, now there is one less person to provide the "stuff", this is different. Used to be cities had two papers, morning and afternoon. There was varied opinion in the two editions, and they kept each other honest and on task to provide the best information out there to those of us who wanted to know what was going on. After today another voice will be silent.
I think the Internet, podcasts, videocasts, television are all great forms of gathering and disciminating information. But there are times when I just want to hold that medium and read it. Not rely on power or connectivity. I get excited when Wired or Fast Company arrive in the mailbox. It feels good in my hands, easy to flip through, and I can carry it aorund to favorite reading spots. I am pretty sure we will see a few more of these great publications that have been around for a very long time dissapear in the too near future.
